A steady hand for watches that deserve careful attention
Kamol Timeworks offers diagnosis, tune-up, seal restoration, and thorough antique care — each job considered on its own terms, at a pace that suits the work.
Three considered services, honestly described
Diagnostic & Tune-Up
A sensible first step for a watch behaving oddly. We carry out a careful examination, share our findings plainly, and — if you wish to proceed — clean, lubricate, and regulate the movement. The decision remains entirely yours.
- Honest assessment before any commitment
- Movement cleaning and lubrication
- Rate regulation and timing check
- Service warranty on completed work
Seal & Water Resistance
Replaces the gaskets and attends to the crown and case back to keep moisture and dust at bay — tested where the design allows. Particularly suited to sports and dive-style watches, and everyday pieces worn through Bangkok's humid months.
- Crown, case back, and crystal gaskets
- Resistance testing after reassembly
- Parts and costs confirmed in advance
- Realistic after-service guidance
Complete Antique Restoration
A thorough, patient approach to antique and heirloom watches — balancing repair with conservation so that age and character are preserved. Scarce parts may be hand-fabricated; original dials are treated with care.
- Unhurried written assessment first
- Hand-fabrication of scarce components
- Corrosion treatment and dial conservation
- Timeline suited to irreplaceable pieces

Things people often ask
Do I need to know what's wrong with my watch before bringing it in?
Not at all. The diagnostic service is designed for exactly this situation. We examine the watch, share what we find, and explain the options — after which the decision is entirely yours. There's no pressure to proceed.
How long does a tune-up or seal service typically take?
A standard diagnostic tune-up is generally completed within one to two weeks. Seal and water resistance work follows a similar timeframe. Antique restorations take longer and are discussed individually — we'll give you a realistic estimate at the assessment stage.
Will the cost be agreed before you start any work?
Yes, always. We share a written explanation of the work required and the associated cost before touching anything. If additional work becomes necessary once a movement is opened, we contact you first.
My watch is a family heirloom. Are you careful with pieces like this?
We treat antique and sentimental watches with conservation in mind — preserving original dials, patina, and character wherever the owner wishes. We discuss all options openly so you can make an informed choice about the extent of any work.
Is there a warranty on work carried out?
A service warranty applies to completed work. The terms and period are shared with you in writing when we return the watch. If you have concerns after collection, we're glad to take another look.
My watch was made outside Thailand — can you still service it?
In most cases, yes. We work on movements from a wide range of origins and periods. If a watch falls outside our scope, we say so early rather than letting it sit on the bench. We're happy to discuss your piece before you make any decisions.
